Nightingale Lane in Nonington will be closed during daytime hours to allow for essential fibre infrastructure works.
Nightingale Lane will be temporarily closed approximately 300 metres south from the junction of Holt Street. The closure applies between 08:00 and 18:00 only, with works expected to take up to two days to complete. This temporary prohibition of traffic has been implemented by Kent County Council to facilitate the installation of new fibre connectivity in the area.
The affected section will be clearly marked with signs and barriers on site. Whilst through traffic is prohibited during working hours, pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the works, allowing residents and visitors to move safely through the area on foot.
Drivers are advised to use the alternative route via Nightingale Lane, Holt Street, Easole Street, Sandwich Road, C230 Un-named Road (from Thornton Road to Sandwich Road), Mill Top, Sandwich Lane, Barfreston Road and The Street. This diversion adds minimal distance to journeys and keeps traffic flowing around the work site.
