Forest Road in Tunbridge Wells will be fully closed for two days from 30 March for essential carriageway maintenance.
Forest Road will be completely closed to through traffic from 30 March for two days whilst Kent Highways carries out carriageway patching work. The closure affects the section between Beech Close and Frant Road.
This essential maintenance work is part of the council’s ongoing programme to maintain and repair the local road network. Carriageway patching helps prevent further deterioration and improves road safety for all users.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan alternative routes during this period and allow extra time for their journeys. Traffic may experience delays in the surrounding area, particularly on adjacent routes as traffic diverts around the closure. Local traffic management will be in place to help direct vehicles safely.
The work is scheduled to be completed within the two-day window. Road conditions permitting, the closure may be completed earlier. For the latest updates on this work and other roadworks in the Tunbridge Wells area, residents can contact Kent County Council Highways or check the local roadworks map.
