Three major routes will close overnight for planned maintenance works affecting Kent motorway travel.
Drivers across the South East are advised to plan alternative routes tonight as planned closures begin across three key routes in the region. The A282 north at Dartford Crossing West Tunnel will close from 21:00 until 05:30 for essential maintenance works on the crossing.
The M26 eastbound will also be affected, with closures between junctions 2A and 3 operating from 23:00 until 05:30. Simultaneously, the M20 westbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 1 will be closed from 23:00 until 06:00.
These overnight closures are planned to minimise disruption to daytime traffic. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time if journeys cannot be rescheduled, and to check for updated information closer to travel times as conditions can change at short notice. Signed diversion routes will be in place throughout the closure periods.
