Chatham sex offender jailed for breaching court order

A convicted sex offender from Chatham has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison after repeatedly breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, Kent Police has said.

Kent Police announced on 11 April 2025 that the sentence had been imposed at Maidstone Crown Court three days earlier, on 8 April 2025. The offender, from the Medway area, was returned to custody following multiple breaches of the order, as well as additional offending including making an indecent image.

A Sexual Harm Prevention Order places restrictions on the behaviour of convicted sex offenders to protect members of the public. The force did not provide a full breakdown of the individual breaches in the information made publicly available.
