Dartford Borough Council has listed ten public events running from August to October 2026, taking in film screenings, concerts, heritage walks, a night market and Black History Month activities across the town’s parks, streets and venues.
Events Cinema in the Park runs from 12 August to 27 August 2026, while Bandstand Concerts stretch from 3 May through to 30 August. Town centre entertainment alongside the weekly Saturday market is listed from 25 April to 26 September — giving residents a fairly steady stream of reasons to actually venture into the high street through summer.
The autumn calendar then gets busy fast. On 4 September, the Dartford Night Market — themed “Sing your heart out!” — takes over the High Street from 5pm to 9pm. The following day brings two separate events: Battle of Britain Day at Brewery Square and a Bat Walk around Brooklands Lakes. Quite the range.
19 September is another double-header. A talk and Q&A about the late Dartford-born Len Goodman — titled Len Goodman: The boy from Dartford who just got lucky — features contributions from people who knew him. The Children’s Book Festival, a celebration of books across the borough, runs on the same day.
A guided history walk at Darenth Country Park is scheduled for 12 September. Black History Month events run across the whole of October.
