Maidstone Borough Council’s latest fortnightly bulletin covers two new housing developments, a town centre regeneration consultation, a food charity milestone, and a fresh round of arts grants.
Forty-three new homes have been added to Maidstone’s housing stock after the council completed the handover of two developments, according to its bulletin published on 11 September 2026.
The council has also opened a public consultation on the future of Lockmeadow, inviting residents, businesses and visitors to share their views on making it greener, more welcoming and vibrant.
The Bread and Butter Thing, the community food network that supports more than 100,000 households nationally, is marking its 10th anniversary with communities across Maidstone, according to the bulletin.
Creative Communities Grants are reopening for projects anywhere in the borough, with artists, community groups and cultural organisations all eligible to apply. The Call for Sites submission window has now closed, with the council stating it will provide further information on the next stage of the process.
