A 29-year-old London man was arrested on suspicion of burglary after Kent Police’s Rural Task Force stopped his vehicle in Springhead Road and found bolt cutters, a crowbar, a sledgehammer and gloves inside.
Kent Police received a report of a burglary at a farm building in Faversham on 26 August 2026, according to Kent Police. The suspect had tried to cut through a wire fence to gain entry, but nothing was taken. Officers from the Rural Task Force were already on patrol in the local area when they identified a vehicle they believed may have been connected to the incident, and stopped it in Springhead Road later that afternoon.
A search of the vehicle uncovered bolt cutters, gloves, a crowbar and a sledgehammer. The driver — a 29-year-old man from London — was arrested on suspicion of burglary, going equipped for burglary, possession of a blade in a public place, and driving without insurance or a licence. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries, Kent Police said.
No charges have been brought. No guilt has been determined at this stage.
