Two men and a teenage boy, all from north Kent, were detained in the early hours of 3 September 2026 after police responded to reports of suspicious activity at a housing development on Hartsdown Road, Margate.
Kent Police arrested three suspects — a man aged 61, a man aged 36, and a 17-year-old boy — on suspicion of burglary at a building site on Hartsdown Road, Margate, at around 2am on Thursday 3 September 2026. All three are from north Kent. Officers seized a pair of bolt croppers during the operation, and all three remained in custody as enquiries continued, according to Kent Police.
The call came in after reports of men in dark clothing and balaclavas acting suspiciously near a container on the site. The group made off in the direction of Shottendane Road, leading to a short foot pursuit, after which all three were detained by officers.
No charges had been brought at the time Kent Police published details of the arrests, at 13:07 on 3 September 2026.
