CCTV appeal after windows damaged at Ashford Hockey Club

Kent Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify after several windows were allegedly smashed at Ashford Hockey Club in Kennington.

Kent Police’s Ashford account posted the appeal on X, asking the public to help identify the individual shown in connection with criminal damage to the club’s windows. The club is based at Ball Lane, Kennington, within the Ashford district.

According to local reporting, catapults were allegedly used to smash multiple windows at the clubhouse, causing damage estimated at around £4,000. That figure comes from club statements in media coverage and has not been confirmed in an official Kent Police release.

Kent Police routinely publish CCTV images when internal enquiries and local checks have not led to an identification. Anyone who recognises the man shown is asked to contact the force.

Ashford Borough Council operates a public-space CCTV network covering Ashford and Tenterden as part of its community safety functions, and works alongside Kent Police on investigations into criminal damage and anti-social behaviour.
