Kent Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after security staff were allegedly assaulted and damage caused at a Sainsbury’s in Sevenoaks on 28 June 2026.
It started, apparently, with a suspected shoplifter. Security guards at Sainsbury’s on Otford Road approached a man at around 2.30pm that Sunday after suspecting him of shoplifting. He then allegedly assaulted staff and damaged a window outside the store before heading towards the Bat and Ball Community Centre — where a notice board and other items were also damaged.
The incidents were reported to Kent Police on 13 July 2026. Officers have since launched an investigation and released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to help.
To be clear: the man in the images hasn’t been charged or convicted of anything. Kent Police describe him only as someone who may hold relevant information.
