The pop-up hub at Creative Maidstone on Gabriel’s Hill will run from 12 to 22 August, offering free advice, workshops and activities on saving money, cutting waste and supporting local wildlife.
Maidstone Borough Council is opening a free Eco Hub at Creative Maidstone, Gabriel’s Hill, ME15 6JR, from 12 to 22 August — bringing together ten exhibitor organisations under one roof, all aimed at giving residents practical, usable help on environmental and sustainability matters.
Free guidance on lowering household bills, reducing waste and helping local wildlife will be on offer, along with giveaways.
Bookable sessions include two Kent Owl Academy events on Wednesday 12 August and Thursday 20 August (11am to 12pm each), two Team Repair Workshop sessions on Thursday 13 August (11:30am to 12:30pm and 2:30pm to 3:30pm), and a Mini Makers Dinky Dinos upcycling drop-in on Friday 14 August from 1pm to 4pm. Opening hours vary across the run, with morning, afternoon and full-day slots depending on the date — so it is worth checking before you head in.
Among the exhibitors are Kent Wildlife Trust, South East Water, SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK, Maidstone Museum, Maidstone CAN, Communigrow, MidKent College, Kent County Council, Allington Millennium Green and the MBC Welfare Team. Please note that not all organisations will be at the hub every day.
