Luke Thrower, 33, of Bexleyheath, has been remanded in custody after being charged with five offences connected to two alleged wounding incidents in Gillingham on 20 July 2026 and a further alleged assault earlier that month.
Two people suffered injuries consistent with stab wounds in an alleyway between Ingram Road and Woodlands Road in Gillingham shortly before 11pm on Monday 20 July 2026. The victims — a man and a teenage boy — both attended a local hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Luke Thrower, 33, of Halcot Avenue, Bexleyheath, was arrested two days later. He has been charged with three counts of wounding with intent, one count of possessing an offensive weapon in public, and one count of possessing a bladed article in public. The charges also cover a further alleged assault at a nearby location on Thursday 2 July 2026 — nearly three weeks before the alleyway incidents.
Thrower appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 July 2026 and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 21 August 2026.
Kent Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV footage or dashcam recordings that might assist the ongoing investigation to come forward.
