Man dies after motorbike and van collision on A20 in Harrietsham

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man in his 50s from Medway was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision between a black Suzuki motorbike and a white Mercedes Sprinter van on the A20 Ashford Road in Harrietsham.

A man in his 50s, from Medway, died at the scene of a collision on the A20 Ashford Road in Harrietsham on Thursday morning. The crash, involving a black Suzuki motorbike and a white Mercedes Sprinter van, occurred at around 7.45am between the junctions for Hook Lane and Fairbourne Lane, according to Kent Police.

The white Mercedes Sprinter van remained at the scene after the collision. The force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading enquiries into the circumstances of the crash.

Officers are asking witnesses and motorists travelling on the A20 Ashford Road at around the time of the collision to come forward, particularly those with dashcam footage showing either vehicle before the crash.
