Kent Police have launched a murder investigation after a man in his 40s died at a property in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, on the evening of 7 September 2026, following what officers described as an assault. He was found with injuries consistent with a stab wound.
Officers were called to the address at 10.21pm on Monday. Paramedics treated the man at the scene — but he died whilst being treated. His next of kin has been informed.
Two people were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and both remain in custody: a 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. Detectives are continuing their enquiries.
No charges have been announced and no motive has been given. Kent Police are asking anyone with information who has not yet spoken to officers to come forward.
