Missing Canterbury teenager found safe after police search

Kent Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy reported missing from Canterbury on Monday 13 July 2026 has been found safe and well.

Kent Police announced the outcome via their official social media account, stating that the boy had been located and thanking members of the public who had assisted in the search and shared appeals for information.

No details about the circumstances of the disappearance or the location where the boy was found have been released.

Kent Police recorded 8,818 missing person incidents in the year ending 31 March 2023, according to official policing statistics. Nationally, missing children and young people account for around half or more of all missing person reports made to police forces in England and Wales, based on Home Office and policing data.
