A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car on the A2 London Road near Teynham on Friday evening (25 September 2026).
Kent Police said it was called at around 8.35pm to reports of a collision involving a black BMW 420D car and a motorbike on the coastbound carriageway, near the junction with Lewson Street. The motorcyclist was riding a black Yamaha MT-09.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Kent Police said on Saturday that he remained in custody while enquiries continue.
Appeal for witnesses and footage
Investigators from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone with information or footage to come forward.
