Two men have been arrested following an assault at a Dartford pub that left a victim hospitalised.
Kent Police was called at around 9pm on Saturday 1 August 2026 to reports of a disturbance at The Horse & Groom pub on Leyton Cross Road, Dartford. The victim reported being struck over the head with an unknown object. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Two men — aged 25 and 24, both from Longfield — were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Both have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police have not yet established the full circumstances of what happened that evening, and the investigation is ongoing.
