Ronnie Welsh, 28, and Alfie Welsh, 26, have been remanded in custody after a man in his 30s was left in hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds following an attack in Spenlow Drive, Boxley, on 20 July 2026.
Two men have been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following a serious assault in Spenlow Drive, Boxley, near Walderslade, at around 9.45pm on Monday 20 July 2026. The victim — a man in his 30s — remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Ronnie Welsh, 28, of Old Orchard Lane, Leybourne, and Alfie Welsh, 26, of Drayton Close, High Halstow, were both charged on Wednesday 22 July with GBH with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Ronnie Welsh faces an additional charge of possession of cannabis. Both appeared at West Kent Magistrates’ Court the following day and were remanded in custody. They are due before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 21 August.
According to Kent Police, armed officers arrested Ronnie Welsh at around 1.10am on Tuesday 21 July in London Road, West Malling. Alfie Welsh was arrested at Tonbridge police station later that same day.
Both men are charged, not convicted, and will have the opportunity to contest all allegations when the case is heard next month.
Kent Police want to hear from anyone with information who has not yet spoken to officers.
