Witness appeal after man suffers serious head injuries in Ashford assault

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious head injuries in a reported assault on Lower High Street, Ashford, on the morning of Sunday 13 September.

The incident took place close to a water fountain and the St Johns Lane alleyway, according to an appeal posted by Kent Police on their official X account. No arrests or suspect descriptions have been made public at this stage.

Kent Police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Lower High Street, near the water fountain and St Johns Lane, on the morning of Sunday 13 September and who may have witnessed a disturbance or holds information relevant to the investigation to come forward.

St Johns Lane is a pedestrian cut-through linking Lower High Street with surrounding streets and car parks.
