Kent Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Market Square, Westerham, after offenders tried to steal a parked motorbike and made threats to its owner before leaving empty-handed.
It happened shortly before 7.15pm on Friday 14 August 2026. A group of offenders tried to take a motorbike parked in Market Square — members of the public stepped in to challenge them, at which point the group turned on the bike’s owner and made threats before leaving empty-handed.
Detectives are now appealing for information and are particularly keen to trace two black mopeds, each with a rider and a passenger, spotted in the area either side of the attempted robbery.
Anyone with private CCTV, a doorbell camera or dashcam footage from Market Square and the surrounding streets between 7pm and 7.30pm that evening is asked to come forward.
