Kent Police appeal after attempted motorbike theft near Buckland Hill in Maidstone

Three masked men allegedly left the scene towards Maidstone East station after being disturbed by a member of the public in the early hours of 28 July 2026.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after three balaclava-wearing men were disturbed allegedly attempting to steal a motorbike near Buckland Hill in Maidstone at 12.38am on Tuesday 28 July 2026.

According to Kent Police, the men had taken the bike from a property near Buckland Hill but left it behind after being disturbed by a member of the public. It is alleged the suspects then left the scene in the direction of Maidstone East train station. Officers attended the scene, reviewed CCTV and launched an investigation into the full circumstances.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area around that time to check their private CCTV or dashcam recordings.
