Podium

Tom Ingram claimed victory in Race 1 of Round 28 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Kent’s Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in West Kingsdown on Sunday, 11 October, bringing the curtain up on the season finale with a commanding display. Ingram, driving for Team Vertu, crossed the line in a race time of 22:48.825, with Josh Cook of Speedworks Corolla Racing finishing 3.269 seconds adrift in second place. Ricky Collard completed the podium, a further 2.513 seconds behind Cook.
Ingram’s victory, his fourth of the 2026 season, came at the conclusion of a race-long battle with Aiden Moffat, who had started from pole position for LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing. Moffat ultimately crossed the line in fourth place, 5.876 seconds behind the winner, as Ingram proved able to withstand sustained pressure throughout the contest. Josh Cook’s Speedworks Corolla Racing entry held firm in second, while Ricky Collard secured third to ensure a closely fought podium. Ashley Sutton brought his NAPA Racing UK machine home in fifth, 7.497 seconds off the pace, with Mikey Doble, also representing LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing, finishing sixth a further 1.808 seconds back.

The midfield produced noteworthy performances from several competitors. Daryl DeLeon of WSR took seventh place, completing a solid afternoon for the team with a time of 22:59.304. Dan Cammish, Sutton’s NAPA Racing UK team-mate, crossed the line in eighth, though a gap of some 7.952 seconds to the sixth-placed Doble indicated a more difficult afternoon for the former. Dexter Patterson of Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing and Daniel Lloyd rounded out the top ten in ninth and tenth respectively, with Lloyd finishing 23:13.231, some 24.406 seconds behind the race winner.
Three drivers failed to see the chequered flag, with Charles Rainford, Árón Taylor-Smith, and Gordon Shedden all classified as retirements in the official results. For Ingram and Team Vertu, the result represents a significant statement at the season finale, a fourth victory of the campaign underlining the strength of their challenge as the championship reaches its conclusion. With further races at Brands Hatch still to come in this finale weekend, Ingram will be eager to carry the momentum generated by Sunday’s opening success into the remaining rounds of the 2026 season.
