A road traffic collision has blocked a busy junction in Strood, with police at the scene and traffic held up shortly after 12pm today (Monday 22 June).
The crash happened at the junction of London Road, Cuxton Road and High Street — beside the Papa John’s and the Shell garage. Kent Local News was at the scene shortly afterwards, where two vehicles could be seen with significant front-end damage.
Police were directing traffic and part of the junction was blocked, causing delays in the surrounding streets. There was no immediate confirmation of any injuries.
Drivers are advised to avoid the London Road and Cuxton Road junction while emergency services deal with the incident, and to expect delays across the Strood area, including around High Street and Gun Lane.
