Lando Norris claimed victory at the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Park Zandvoort in the Netherlands on 23 August 2026, converting pole position into a commanding race win to take 25 championship points. The McLaren driver crossed the line in a total race time of two hours, four minutes and 44.859 seconds. Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes completed the podium in second place, finishing 11.536 seconds adrift, whilst his team-mate George Russell took third, a further 4.370 seconds behind.

The race produced several notable performances beyond the podium positions. Charles Leclerc, who had started sixth for Ferrari, set the fastest lap of the race and finished fifth, whilst Fernando Alonso delivered arguably the drive of the afternoon, advancing from eighteenth on the grid to ninth at the flag — a gain of nine positions that represented the most significant forward progress of any driver in the top ten. Andrea Kimi Antonelli retains the drivers’ championship lead with 242 points and six victories to his name, but Norris’s win and Antonelli’s second place means the gap between them remains considerable, with Norris now on 159 points — 83 points behind the championship leader. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton are level on 183 points in second and third respectively, keeping the battle for the runner-up position tightly contested. In the constructors’ championship, Mercedes continue to lead on 425 points, with Ferrari second on 338 and McLaren third on 263, meaning Norris’s victory has done little to close the gap to the top two teams in the standings.
