Andrea Kimi Antonelli claimed victory at the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin on Sunday, 25 October 2026, to extend his commanding lead at the summit of the Drivers’ Championship. The Mercedes driver converted pole position into a dominant win, crossing the line in a total race time of one hour, 35 minutes and 16.650 seconds. Charles Leclerc completed the podium in second place for Ferrari, with Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing taking third.

Antonelli led from the front having started from pole, whilst Leclerc produced one of the drives of the afternoon, advancing from fourth on the grid to second at the flag — a gain of two positions — and also setting the fastest lap of the race. Verstappen, who had qualified second, was unable to match the pace of the leading pair and ultimately finished 17.485 seconds adrift of the winner. Isack Hadjar endured a difficult afternoon by contrast, slipping from third on the grid to sixth at the chequered flag, surrendering five positions over the course of the race. Lando Norris was the day’s most notable mover in the upper reaches of the order, climbing three places from eighth on the grid to fifth at the finish.

Of the British drivers in the top ten, Lewis Hamilton delivered the strongest result, finishing fourth for Ferrari having started fifth. The four-time — Hamilton advanced one position from his grid slot to secure 12 championship points, crossing the line just over a second behind his team-mate Leclerc. Lando Norris rounded out the top five for McLaren, whilst George Russell could manage only eighth for Mercedes despite the team’s dominant showing at the front of the field.

Antonelli’s victory extends his lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship to 123 points over team-mate George Russell, who holds second on 242 points. Lewis Hamilton sits just one point further back in third on 241, with Verstappen and Leclerc separated by only three points in fourth and fifth respectively, ensuring the battle for the remaining podium positions in the standings remains fiercely contested. In the Constructors’ Championship, Mercedes continue to pull clear at the head of affairs on 607 points, with Ferrari second on 474 — a gap of 133 points — and Red Bull Racing and McLaren level on 355 points apiece as they contest third place.
