Hythe man charged with eight thefts after Aldi meat raids

Tristan Crisford, 25, was charged after neighbourhood officers investigated a series of alleged meat thefts from a Hythe Aldi store worth more than £1,900.

Tristan Crisford, 25, of Sir John Moore Avenue, Hythe, was charged with eight counts of theft after Kent Police investigated a series of alleged thefts from the Aldi store in Hythe between April and July 2026. He was arrested on Hythe High Street on 12 August 2026.

The haul — steaks and beef joints, allegedly stolen across four months — is said to total more than £1,900.

Neighbourhood officers led the investigation, speaking with witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage before the charges were secured.

Crisford has been bailed with conditions to appear before Folkestone magistrates on 16 December 2026. The allegations have not yet been tested in court.
