Kent Police officers to lead free women’s 5k run in Tunbridge Wells

Female officers from Kent Police’s Tunbridge Wells Neighbourhood Policing Team will run alongside members of the public on a free, non-competitive 5k route through Rusthall and Langton Green on 6 November 2026.

The event runs from 6pm to 7pm, with participants setting off at 6.15pm from St Paul’s Church Centre on Rusthall Road, Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells. It is open to all women, including those new to running, and walking the route is permitted. There is no entry fee and no competitive element.

Kent Police announced the event via social media, describing it as a friendly monthly run open to everyone.

According to listings on Eventbrite, Rusthall Parish Council and Police.uk, the initiative is intended to help women feel safer and more confident exercising after dark during the winter months. Organisers are asking participants to wear high-visibility clothing and, where possible, to bring a head or chest torch.

The Tunbridge Wells Neighbourhood Policing Team has stated its intention to hold the run once a month through the darker winter evenings, though available listings confirm only the 6 November date.
