Man charged with GBH after stabbing in Maidstone park

Nathan Odgers, 40, of Brewer Street in Maidstone has been remanded in custody after being charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, following a serious assault at Brenchley Gardens on 22 July 2026, according to Kent Police.

Kent Police were called to Brenchley Gardens at 5.20pm on Wednesday 22 July 2026 after a man was seriously assaulted. Paramedics took the victim to a London hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds. He has since been discharged.

Four men were arrested over the following four days. According to Kent Police, Odgers was charged on Sunday 26 July, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court the next day, and was remanded in custody. His next appearance is at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 24 August 2026.

Three other men — aged 22, 29 and 41 — were also arrested in connection with the incident. All three have been released on bail pending further enquiries, Kent Police said.

The investigation is continuing.
