Kent Police detained two men and a teenage boy after a group allegedly arrived by van in Castle Drive, approached residents about home repairs, and demanded payment after accessing a roof.
Officers were called to Castle Drive, Whitfield, just before 2.30pm on Wednesday 16 September 2026 after reports of suspicious behaviour. According to Kent Police, a group had arrived in a van and residents were reportedly told their homes needed repairs. It is alleged that, after accessing a roof, a demand for payment was made and damage was reported.
According to Kent Police, two 18-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy were arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody. All three were later bailed with conditions while enquiries continue. The force is treating the matter as suspected rogue trading.
