Daniel Rogers, 36, was sentenced in February 2026 and handed a Criminal Behaviour Order barring him from Tesco, Aldi, Asda, TK Maxx and Sainsbury’s stores throughout Kent, as well as Ashford Designer Outlet and Bluewater shopping centre.
A Canterbury man has been banned from supermarkets and shopping centres across the county after running up 27 theft offences at retail premises over little more than a year. Daniel Rogers, 36, of Querns Road, Canterbury, targeted stores between 28 August 2024 and 7 December 2025 before Kent Police secured a Criminal Behaviour Order against him on 5 August. The CBO bars him from every Tesco, Aldi, Asda, TK Maxx and Sainsbury’s in Kent, as well as Ashford Designer Outlet and Bluewater. He was sentenced in February 2026 and ordered to pay compensation.
The incidents make for fairly brazen reading. On 12 July 2025, Rogers walked into an Asda, lifted a Henry vacuum cleaner worth £159, then came back weeks later for food and drink. On 4 July 2025 at Ashford Designer Outlet, he distracted a member of staff by asking for help before running from the store with clothing worth around £300. At Bluewater on 14 August 2025, he concealed shampoo bottles on his person and left the store — £115 worth in total.
Staff who challenged him found him verbally or physically abusive. PC Chris Green said: “Securing this Criminal Behaviour Order gives officers additional powers to protect businesses from further losses. We will take robust action and seek to bring him back before court at the earliest opportunity if he breaches these conditions. Rogers presents a real problem for retailers, their staff, and the wider community.”
Breaching a CBO is a criminal offence. Rogers can be arrested, returned to court and faces imprisonment if he fails to comply.
