Jack Young-Larter, 26, of London Road, Maidstone, was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading guilty to supplying cocaine and cannabis and possessing criminal property.
Young-Larter was jailed on 17 September 2026 after Kent Police executed a search warrant at his home on 1 May 2026 and recovered nearly 110g of cannabis, more than 25g of cocaine, scales, empty deal bags, around £2,000 in cash — and a box of rare collectible Pokémon cards. He had pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, and possession of criminal property.
His two seized mobile phones told much of the story. Messages were consistent with the marketing and supply of both drugs. Videos showed him stashing drug packets for customers to collect. Payment came in cash, bank transfers, and — here’s where it gets odd — Pokémon trading cards. According to court proceedings, he asked vulnerable substance users to pay off their drug debts by stealing high-value collectible cards.
The court ordered him to forfeit the collection. Both the cash and the cards were made subject to a Deprivation Order, so he will not be seeing either again.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Emily Hill said: “Young-Larter is rightly serving time behind bars for selfishly taking advantage of vulnerable members of the Maidstone community for his own financial gain. Trading Pokémon cards is a fun activity for all ages, but substances are dangerous; they destroy communities, and in the worst cases leave friends and families bereft.”
